If you have recently explored market options for your house's windows, you must have noticed one odd thing. No matter how different the styles and designs are, most windows are similar in size.
In fact, most designs follow a sophisticated sizing pattern. There are two reasons behind it.
The first one is standard windows are easier to install and maintain than custom-sized ones. You don't need to make any alterations in the frame or walls, and there are reduced chances of misfitting.
Second, standard window sizes make it easier for window manufacturers to keep the cost low. Since they have a consistent size pattern, they can create frames in bulk and pass on the cost savings to customers.
But what if your home happens to have windows that are outside of the standard range?
In that case, you may have to pay a premium cost for custom windows. We'll talk about that in detail later.
For now, let's take a look at the most common window sizes available in the market.
